AN BANG
An Bang is close enough to Hoi An to get there by bicycle. It's a little village by the beach with a nice and relaxing vibe. In addition to the beach it has nice restaurants and bars and my personal highlight for your trip: Cham Islands!

You can get to Cham Islands by ferry which takes around 30 mins from Cua Dai Port. If you book a (day)tour, they will normally pick you up at your hotel in the morning. You can stay on the island until 2 pm if you want to return on the same day. Otherwise, you can also stay overnight.
The main island Hon Lao with beautiful Xep Beach is great for kayaking and snorkling. You can also rent a motorbike to discover the island. As it's not big, you can also just walk around.
Fresh Seafood
Nam Gia Seafood Restaurant
The seafood couldn't be any fresher than here.
My favorite orders in a Vietnamese Seafood Restaurant like Nam Gia:

- Mi Xao Hai San (Fried noodles with seafood)
- So Long Mo Hanh (Grilled snails with spring onion and peanut)
- Oc Huong Trung Muoi (Snails in salted egg sauce)
- Goi Tom (Shrimp Salad)
- Cha Gio Tom (Fried springrolls with Shrimps)

Where to eat & drink
An Bang is a fishing village so it has a lot of fresh seafood. Since it gets more and more popular among tourists, there are also Western restaurants.
Local Life in An Bang
An Bang Beach gets busy with sunrise when a lot of people come there to do sports and sand bathing.
During the day, you'll see fishermen collecting their nets, carrying fishing poles, driving a motorbike along the beach and going out with their basket boats. When the sun goes down, both the fisher boats and the beach bars light up and local people come to the beach to eat seafood. Enjoy the vibe but always be careful of the sun during the daytime.
