We are Tuong from Vietnam and Anni from Germny and together we founded Ðậu Biếc Homestay. We first met in a coffeeshop in Rach Gia when Anni was traveling around Mekong Delta. Anni traveled more than 50 countries already but since she fell in love with Vietnam in 2022, she spends most of her time here. First in Ho Chi Minh City, then in Dalat, then in Can Tho and Da Nang. Luckily, Anni started to learn Vietnamese before because we only speak Vietnamese together. We spent our first date in the rain eating vegetarian hotpot but our favorite food is bún đậu mắm tôm. We both love Vietnam a lot and our dream is to share our love and happiness with you.

You might know this plant if you traveled to tropical regions before. Butterfly Pea flowers are very beautiful and they have a special meaning to me. After we first met, Anni went back to Germany for Christmas and brought home some Butterfly Pea tea to let her family and friends try it. They were surprised about the color but they liked it. When we were thinking of a name of the homestay, Anni's mum suggested "Butterfly Pea" which we both liked but as we only speak Vietnamese together, we decided to call it "đậu biếc homestay". We want it to be like a place for family and friends - from all around the world. We want to connect locals and travelers so you can experience Vietnamese culture and get to know Vietnam in a very special way. 

Our place used to be a typical Vietnamese motel (nhà nghĩ). We slowly change it into a welcoming home keeping some of it's original style but we want to use less plastic to save resources.

As Anni traveled a lot already, we tried to think of everything you need for a pleasant stay.
