Streetfood is very popular in Ho Chi Minh City as it is a business city which is always busy and never sleeps.

At any time you can get almost everything from local street vendors.

In this section, I want to show you my favorite streetfoods in HCMC.

Bánh Khoai Mì

Vietnamese cake made of Cassava, Sugar and Coconut Milk. Cassava Starch is called Tapioka which is used widely in Vietnam.

Chuối Nếp Nướng

Chuoi Nep Nuong is grilled sticky rice with banana wrapped in banana leaves served with sweet coconut cream. It's so delicious and one of my top street food recommendations!

Bánh Xèo

This lady is so lovely. I met her on my first day when I first came to Saigon. She makes a really good Banh Xeo in the local area around Ho Thi Ky Nightmarket.

How to eat Banh Xeo? Wrap the pancake in herbs and dip it in Fish Sauce!

Eating Snails

At first sight, I thought I could never eat snails. But the freshness and the seasonings got me quickly.

You can get delicious seafood, including snails, in Ho Chi Minh City in seafood restaurants or from local vendors. Be careful to make sure it's safe but I never had any problems with seafood here.
