PHAN THIET
I love Phan Thiet. The city itself is nice and developing in a positive way.
The beach in Phan Thiet is more for walking along the promenade as there is no sand. If you want to go to the beach, Mui Ne is the better choice.
Mui Ne is a coastal fishing town and a ward of Phan Thiet. It's also called "The resort capital of Vietnam" as tourism was promoted intensively since 1990. It is well known for its sand dunes and surfing spots.

Phan Thiet Beach
The beach in Phan Thiet is mostly tarred but it's nice to come here in the morning an see the local people walking and exercising along the promenade.

Cafe Bong Benh

Bep Chay Tre
My favorite vegetarian restaurant in Phan Thiet! Everything here is just so so delicious!

Dragonfruit Plantations
You will see a lot of dragonfruit plantations around Phan Thiet. I think they look very funny, it seems like the fruits stick on the spiky cactus plant. Did you know that there are white, red and yellow dragonfruits and which one is your favorite? My favorites are the red dragonfruits for sure!

Ke Ga Cape
There is supposed to be a lighthouse but I couldn't find it so I stopped over randomly on the road.

Ta Cu Mountain
Linh Son Truong Tho Pagoda on Ta Cu Mountain is about one hour away from Phan Thiet by motorbike. It's an interesting place that you can access by cable car. If you're lucky, you will see some monkeys while you drive up the mountain.
Daytrip to Ta Cu Mountain
By Motorbike from Phan Thiet
You can drive on the Highway from Phan Thiet to Thuan Nam and park at the parking lot of the cable car station. The cable car will take you up to Ta Cu Mountain where you can discover Linh Son Truong Tho Pagoda with "Asia's longest reclining Buddha Statue".
After visiting the pagoda, you can drive to Ke Ga Cape and back to Phan Thiet. I liked to drive this street better because it's not a highway and you see lots of dragonfruit plantations along the way.

MUI NE

Full Moon Beach Resort
One of many resorts in Mui Ne and the best place to spend your time here. Check out Full Moon Beach Resort here.

Red Sand Dunes
The sand dunes are amazing! You can come here to explore them but be careful as the sun heats up the sand so it feels like walking on fire.

Surfing
Mui Ne has nice surf sports depending on the season. I can recommend you Mui Ne Surf School for private or group lessons.

Pineapple Mui Ne
A cozy place with a chill vibe at the beach. Here you can spend a few hours under palm trees sipping fresh coconuts.

Phap Duyen Restaurant
Of course, Bun Thit Nuong can't be missed. I found a nice one at Phap Duyen Vegetarian Restaurant.

Mui Ne Beach
If you go up North from Mui Ne it will get less busy. Maybe because it was windy that day but it seemed to be quiet in general.
