VUNG TAU
Let's go to the beach!
Vung Tau is a port city only two hours away from Ho Chi Minh City. It has some nice beaches and a beautiful coastline that you can admire best from Vung Tau Lighthouse.
As it's a coastal town, they have plenty of delicious seafood and seafood markets.
You should try bánh khọt and snails (ốc) and explore the seafood market Chợ Xóm Lưới close to Front Beach.
Another speciality of Vung Tau is bánh bông lan trứng muối - salted egg sponge cake. Every little muffin has a filling of salted egg cream but there are also other versions.
What else can you do in Vung Tau?
Go to the largest Christian statue in Asia on Mount Nhỏ or take a cable car to Ho May Park - an amusement park with sea view.
For sunset, you can go to Beach Stop Coffee and enjoy a nice Iced Tea.

Beautiful Coastline
Vung Tau is located on a peninsula.
Rent a motorbike and drive along the coast and enjoy the sunset in one of the beautiful coffeeshops along the way!

Vung Tau Lighthouse
Have a nice view from the Lighthouse. It's located on a mountain and you can either walk or drive up there.

Delicious Seafood
The food at the coast is always amazing because it is so fresh. Try Banh Khot, which is a speciality of Vung Tau. It's similar to Banh Xeo but smaller. And of course: Snails!

Front Beach
Front Beach and the park nearby are very nice to relax and watch the boats leaving from the nearby pier.
From the pier, you can go to Ho Chi Minh City or Con Dao Islands by ferry. It's also nice to come here during the nighttime when it's less hot.

Banh Bong Lan Trung Muoi
These salted egg sponge cakes are so famous in Vung Tau that you definitely need to try them!
I recommend Goc Cot Dien.

Beach Stop Coffee
Beach Stop Coffee is a nice coffee shop with ocean view. It has a very nice vibe and good drinks. I recommend Lemongrass-Lemon-Tea.
